Matt’s Free Keyword Tool Saves the Day!
by admin on May.20, 2008, under Keyword Research
Today is an exciting day because I have released my new tool and video series, Matt’s Free Keyword Tool. It features an awesome keyword tool that is a desktop application, that queries wordtracker and helps you discover the most profitable keywords in any niche. The tool also analyzes the competition in google, yahoo, and MSN.
I also created 10 in depth training videos, that take you by the hand and show you exactly how to find the best keywords possible.
PS: Yes, that is my old computer getting smashed to bits.

Matt:
This is an excellent tool and the instructional videos are terrific. I only have one question…is there a way to put in an extra delay when querying Google for competition figures? Ideally, the tool would pull the competition figures every 15 seconds or so to prevent Google from blocking you out.

Hi,
Interesting Video. But its a fact that it takes time to search for good keywords. Have patience.
I have registered myself and now going to use the tool very soon. Hope it will prevent some headache of searching and definately the time.

Matt,
Hilarious video–your approach is really refreshing!
I’ve been on the web since the early days, but your videos have managed to get me fired up about targeting the “holes”.
It’s funny–I think we get into this mindset that we should only target the huge keywords, so we can have this huge influx of visitors.
However, if you build a site and happen to be number 3 or 4 for several different phrases, the traffic can add up quickly.
My advice to others would be this: create a blog on a broad topic, then with each post, laser in on one relevant phrase. Make the article fun, helpful & unique.
Don’t place ads on the post at first. I read some great advice that says you should wait until you are seeing some traffic before monetizing, and that seems like sound advice.
Finally, be subtle when you do advertise. If you can, find an affiliate product and place a nice graphical add (250 x250 or so), and wrap your article around it. Maybe make a mention of the product in the text as well.
Anyway, have a great day, and thanks again for the fun videos!
Cheers,
brian

Thank you for the feedback everyone, I am glad you are enjoying the tool
Yes, I also suggest not focusing on the more competitive terms. Targeting multiple keywords with less competition really adds up!

Hi Matt,
Thank you for your keyword tool! It’s a great piece of software. I’ve enjoyed your videos so much!! Great information and help! I am currently looking to start niche websites with Adsense ads on them, so I am looking for good keyword tools to use in my keyword research. I am a newbie to IM so therefore I am looking for free tools at first. As a newbie, I can’t afford the other keyword tools from companies that offer expensive keyword tools. So, a free keyword tool is much appreciated! Looking forward to learning a lot from your blog!!
Thanks,
Umberto
